Questions, answered plainly.
What SelectPro is, how a selector gets built, and what it asks of your team.
What is SelectPro?
SelectPro Limited is a New Zealand company that builds guided product selectors for manufacturers, distributors and retailers of technical products. Each selector is built on the client's own range and carries the client's own name and brand. A selector asks the questions your best expert would ask, applies the sizing and compatibility rules, and recommends the right product from your range.
Is SelectPro a piece of software we download or install?
No. SelectPro is the company, not a product you install. We build a selector on your range and run it for you. It carries your name and brand, and lives on your own subdomain or behind a staff login.
Who is it for?
Manufacturers selling through distributor networks, distributors and wholesalers, and retailers of technical products. Anyone whose team or customers need the right answer to which product fits the job.
What kinds of products does it suit?
Anything that has to be sized, paired or specified: heat pumps and air conditioning, HVAC, ventilation fans, hot water, valves and actuators, gas regulators, pumps, water filtration, generators and power. If your best person spends the day answering the same sizing questions, your range almost certainly fits.
How does the selector decide what to recommend?
From the rules your expert has checked: the questions, the sizing calculations and the compatibility rules for your range. The same answers give the same recommendation every time, and nothing goes live until your expert is happy with it.
How much of our expert's time does it take?
A few hours in total, spread across review rounds. We take your range and technical data and build the selector, then your expert checks it and tells us what's off.
How long does it take to go live?
Weeks, not months. You see a first working version on your real products early, and the time after that goes into getting it right.
Do we need to change our systems?
No. It isn't an IT project. The selector sits alongside what you already use, and the result can be emailed to the customer or copied into your quote.
Where are you based, and where do you work?
We're based in Auckland, New Zealand, and work with businesses in New Zealand, Australia, North America, the United Kingdom and Europe.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size of the range and how involved the selection is. We give you a clear price once we've seen your products.
Can we see one before we commit?
Yes. Send us a product range or a link to your website and we'll put a working version built on your own products in front of you.
